this is really awesome, congratz

#24

WOW great work men, nice modelling and texture

#25

Im having trouble downloading the videos, but my god, those stills look AMAZING!

Transformers was my fave kids cartoon from the 80s, and this just looks superb. The producers of the new transformers movie will be hard pressed to beat this prime!

One question though - why the blue/ white paint job? I know they released the toy as this alternative colour, but you cant beat good ol blue and red prime!

5 stars all round

#26

fantastic!!
Really like the texture work you’ve done! It’s spot on,
even though he used to be red and blue

Still downloading the animation, looking forward to seeing it.
If you need mirrors, i have a spacious webserver, just PM me.

I always thought transformer stuff are stupid and not my type of art appreciation (say sorry to all transformer fans). But yours is really awesome, espeically the street environment and building glass reflections are just stunning.( i’m assuming they are all CG built after i surf all the animation works on ur website)

Can you tell us the process or techniques about how you render all these animation?

1.Do you composite the transformer car on the building layer seperately? or simply render everything all at once?

2.And what about compositing elements(passes)? What are those passes that you use for compositing?

3.Did you use GI or Ambient Occlusion?

4.Did you render camera motion blur or do it with post?

5.How many lights you have for the environments? ( can you share some lightsetup screencaps with us ?)

Gorgeous work! :scream:

Ey thanks you all for the comments and the offer. I am right now re-rendering scene and I will post the new Links as soos as possible. I hope it has less MBs in avi format.

Why White? Well I rendered the truck in black, red and white. The white one was the better for me. Only for stetic reasons.

Thanks again!

#29

wow , gr8 work dude. keep it up.

#30

you are the man!!
since i saw your car crash animation i put you the top of the list!

those stills are enough to be on frontpage!

#31

Absolutely great job, m8 …I have no words…I just don’t know how you keep on surprising us with awesome stuff like this. Any detail about window glasses?

Congratulations for the frontpage :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks edwardlai

Can you tell us the process or techniques about how you render all these animation?

1.Do you composite the transformer car on the building layer seperately? or simply render everything all at once?

I have render the enviorement in 4 differents layers.

2.And what about compositing elements(passes)? What are those passes that you use for compositing?

I have rendered it using Vray and the last version I tested The layers made me strange things. As I started the scene as a simple test I didn“t want to create 20 differents files and I have no used elements pasees unless the reflection. I have rendered
1.- 4 enviorement passes
2.- The robot Layer
3.- Bakground layer
4.- Mate layer
5.- Zdepth layer.
7.- Velocity layer.
6.- 4 differents effects layers.
7.- Some more layers for correcting some issues (about 5 more layers)
I had 9 gb in image seqs.

I am working in a nother animation, the real for what I made this robot and I will try to make it using passes bc I have lost a lot of time this time rendering.

2.Did you use GI or Ambient Occlusion?

I have rendered it using Vray with irradiance map. GI.

4.Did you render camera motion blur or do it with post?

I have done it in postpro.

5.How many lights you have for the environments? ( can you share some lightsetup screencaps with us ?)

I have only one light. one of the most difficult thing to do in this scene has been choosing a beautiful light scene setup. The scene is full of boxes casting shadows and occlusion.

Gorgeous work! :scream:

Thanks edwardlai!!.

Ok I have posted a new Avi format video. It is only 17mb filesize. I hope it solves all the problems.

I have linked too a great video tuto of Daniel Lara about how to convert a biped skeleton in a bones char skeleton. It is GREAT!

The links are in the first page.

Thanks for all!

#38

This is amazing! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the other animation.

And I saw this in a Spanish language thread earlier and mailed you for a link but it’s okay. I should’ve scoured this place first.
