Excellent choice Rebeccak! :bounce: Great start! I’m probably going to use the same ‘method’, blocking in with masses instead of linesketch. Your using Painter or Photoshop?
Can’t wait to get started on this one! This schoolday is going to feel loooooong :scream:

Mecha Hate Chimp: Wow, great sketch! I would be totally satisfied if I could put out a sketch like that :applause:

And as soon as work stop piling up, I´m in!! I´ve been waiting for this one.

Great start Becca and Mecha :bounce:. That grid is good to have

WOW… great idea becca, i really need to find time for this  (stupid exams in 2 weeks…)

@mecha: really good start! that you can accomplish that while listening to hip hop ;PPPP

#24

Simple… study 15 mins, draw 15 mins, study 15 mins…

I don’t like how the colors are bleeding all over the place, but I console myself by remembering that it’s still not done and I’ll make it more perfect when I get to the details. Began with my third charcoal sketch, going to add in the other people/creatures later. I’m posting now because I’m about dead on my feet and I probably won’t be painting on this again for a couple days.

#26

Ohh I ll do this one, cause I really like the painting  Cheers

Great idea Rebecca and good work so far.
The picture provokes me so much that I also began to draw. First I began also with gray tones, but that is not my thing, I thus roughly the colors distributed and then I merge down the graytone-layer with my color-layer.
Here it is:

Yes, great start with your sketch! Can’t wait you coloring it.
@Vizon
Wow, you are so far with the details, also good work so far.

(Sorry for my very bad English.)

Rebecca, this is me trying out the first stages of the Anthony Ryder technique. Not technically the BEST work (as stated in the rules), but I thought you’d be interested to see my progress using the book.

Great approach, Martin! I more or less did the same thing with my piece…it really helps! Great to have you aboard this one!

Cheers,

Everyone!

How dare you post such excellent work on the very first day of this workshop?

I already feel lightyears behind you all!

I will spend the first few days with studies of the particular parts of the painting before I go for a complete composition…
