I don’t like how the colors are bleeding all over the place, but I console myself by remembering that it’s still not done and I’ll make it more perfect when I get to the details. Began with my third charcoal sketch, going to add in the other people/creatures later. I’m posting now because I’m about dead on my feet and I probably won’t be painting on this again for a couple days.

The picture provokes me so much that I also began to draw. First I began also with gray tones, but that is not my thing, I thus roughly the colors distributed and then I merge down the graytone-layer with my color-layer.

Rebecca, this is me trying out the first stages of the Anthony Ryder technique. Not technically the BEST work (as stated in the rules), but I thought you’d be interested to see my progress using the book.
Great approach, Martin! I more or less did the same thing with my piece…it really helps! Great to have you aboard this one!
