Heya guys, this isn’t a World Cup thread  ~ for that, there’s this thread. And I would recommend avoiding saying that one country is better than another.

Cheers,

#525

awwwwwww… can we say at least that one country is better than all the others…?

:scream:

Ah, we will have to wait til after the 9th of July for that…

afgal - you haven’t stepped in this too far so my suggestion is: do it again without tracing because you will see a lot of good come out of that exercise and get a much stronger feel for your strength and weaknesses along with training your observational skills… all things that tracing does not provide…

Well done, everyone, on your incredible efforts in this workshop, and thanks to Rebecca for always being helpfully in the wings.

Here she is - my final Mona (actually Zorn’s mother; I hadn’t realised  )

I can't say that producing it has been at all easy, but I managed something resembling a finished product, and all with no tracing or use of the eyedropper tool - all colours chosen by eye, and all body distortions are mine alone :)

Hi-res version

Geh ~ a week away really threw me off this one, but I am pretty happy with how things turned out. Admittedly I didn’t get around to ‘coloring’ this, but a girl only has so much energy.

NOTE TO EVERYONE!

Guys, please as you finish your pieces, don’t forget to post your final pieces as 800 pixels wide, so that everyone can see the detail. If you think your work is really strong, please also post here a hi~resolution version of your images as a link.

Cheers,

Okay… I made a few final tweaks. Built up some of the darker areas with the background color set to soft light. Also adjusted the overal levels as well as smoothed out some of the highlights.

and a few details:

Hehe, thats how its supposed to be. Thats the point of the exercise really.
Congratulations everyone for finishing. Becca, weeeeeeee, finally! This has been an awesome exercise. Just to make myself feel a bit better I went and revisited our earlier OFDWs. yep, we sure have made progress!

As requested, here is a link to my large version of the killing machine known as bashi.

Hi Rebecca and Everyone

Calling this one finished. Definitely was an adventure in color.

Hi!

I realised that today was the last date some three hours ago and rushed to finish this. It’s still a little messy in places though.

In a bit of a hurry again, can’t wait to get home and check everyone’s pieces.

#533

hiiri,

Lol, do you mind posting the hi~res version as a link? It would be great to see an 800 pix width version here as an image, it just prevents people from having to scroll.

Great to see your finished piece!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

It´s the 18th today isn´t it? Ah - that means I wont be able to finish this one before “deadline”… But I´ll finish it, and keep the thread awake for a while longer
This is the update for tonight. Struggling with the tiger, but finding it more rewarding than I thought it would be:) But next time - if there has to be a dead animal in it - pick a small one… :scream:

womanonfire,

I think this is looking great! The main thing I would recommend is what I mentioned earlier, which is to possibly introduce a bit of dark blue into the cloth beneath the figure. Doing so might really complement the skin tones and bring the figure to life just a bit more.

Cheers,
