Been working on this baby nonstop since the last update. Here’s the current progress:

#462

Here’s the finished black and white version. I’m going to add color now, finally;

#463

slickgreekgeo - great! I really love how you added the texture to her forehead area especially!

Frejasphere - beautiful, despite the shiny photo

FateBringer - really looking sweet!

YMS - thank you…

I hope I’ll post something today - been a tad lazy yesterday :scream:

#464

Thanks Magdalena. I got a texture fetish, but I’ll try to keep this as loose as I can. Here’s the color progress:

#465

Here’s another update, worked mostly on color harmony:

#466

I call this one finished. But with all the pieces I see here, I might just do another one, who knows. I love to see how OFDW threads grow big with lots of beautiful work.

Cheers all!

#467

Great work razz. Here’s the final, I’m letting this one go earlier than I usually do

#468

Awesome stuff in here! It’s amazing! I’m starting to feel ashamed of myself…

Congratulations to all! You’re great artists! I hope to learn from you on these days.

Well, a small update: little fixes on her face, BG and hair. There’s a lot of work to do!

Any comment or crit will be really appreciated.

Regards

Bless

Hello everyone, good work so far. I have been so busy with work and stuff, but I really enjoy these master reproduction threads, so I am going to try to participate. Here is what I have so far. Just laying down a sketch and details, then I will add color. I already added some color for her face because I wanted to be sure I got that down before i went further. I think the major elements in her face are working, so I will not completely start over.

fate bringer nice job

intervain, holy crap that dress is amazing

imafo- great job, the only thing I can comment on is try to bring some of the brighter colors used in the painting into the swan and wall

vincent1- looking good

calan- you really captured her face

#471

But i hope to make the new, extended deadline… Can’t BELIEVE how AMAZING the work is coming along from everyone!!!

STAGE 1: BLOCK-IN

STAGE 2 - STARTING THE REFINEMENT

Cheers! Keep up the great work everyone!!!

#472

Slowly getting there. This painting is going to be a lot of work.

Hey who here has used both graphire and intuous? If you have does the Intuous offer a lot more flexability? What I mean is, let us say you are drawing with it, does it feel more like a pencil, where you can easily draw light and dark be pressure. Because Graphire does not offer a big range from light to dark via pressure.

#473

Ohhhh extension! I like that…I’ll definitely get mine in by then…do we HAVE to post WIP’s? Can we just post final image?

#474

You’re not required to post WIPs.

#475

Hi,

I’m getting to the final touches…but I don’t know what to do with the background…I don’t know … to make it black like in the photo of the real sculture !? … and at the bottom should I make a rack like that !? … or to make some waves (my idea : )) ? your idea?

hey rebeccak how is it going. I looked through the thread but I did not see your work, are you participating?

Spiritdreamer, I think this is the first almost normal painting I seen you do. The others I seen you do are very saturated neon style. It looks nice. To green and yellow for my taste, but I dig it.

Here is a little update. I usually work much faster than this, but doing so much other stuff. So i am working here and there.

HEY…Eduard…FANTASTIC JOB ON YOUR NEPTUNE SCULPTURE…:bounce:
You asked for IDEAS…just a thought here…
Not sure what program you are using…I did an action sulpture simaler to yours awhile back, using PAINTER #9…Did it in greyscale like yours, to start with,…then when it was finished, I
PUT THE COLORED SPOTLIGHTS ONTO IT… found in paiter under effects…SURFACE CONTROL…LIGHTING…gave it a whole different feel and look…check it out, if you have time and want to…might give you some IDEAS for yours:shrug: …It’s in my Anatomy / Sketchbook thread,
page #34

architectus…NORMAL…NOT IN MY VOCABULARY…TOO AMBIGUOUS OF A WORD FOR MY TASTE, AND FOR ME…:scream:
GLAD YOU DIG IT THOUGH…

Glen, I like abnormal. It is good to go against the grain, how else would we have, impressionism?

#480

Eduard: I think make it black and see what it looks like! Really nice job so far, and so many others did awesome work here!

Here is my final piece:
