Hey guys,

Great to see some entries already. Remember that the emphasis here is not speed - it’s finish. I look forward to seeing everyone’s work over course of this month - I hope there are some awesome pieces at the end.

Also remember that anyone who does not have one already is free to start up a Personal Sketchbook here:

Personal Anatomy & Sketchbook Threads
http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=200

You’re encouraged to post your work both here to the main Workshop thread, and to track your progress / WIP in a Personal Sketchbook thread - however, of course it’s not a requirement that you do so - the preference is that you post your work here, in this main Workshop thread.

Hi Rebecca,

shame on me but I am naturally impatient, that is why this time I’ll try to find my
way to finished at least one of this beautiful images.

Pardon me. Please.

Hmpf, I bought this, cheap thing and kinda instable - this easle. Don’t have the faintest idea how to do this right. Perhaps a month is too short, because I’ll need many starts. Producing much wasted paper the next time.

Great starts of the others.

Ciao,

Hihi Ellie,

No shame at all! Looks like you’re off to a great start with this - you have good instincts, definitely trust them. I would say as long as you shade very carefully / lightly at first and build tones gradually, you should be in great shape. Definitely take WIP pictures as you go along!

#26

ooh this looks great
i’ll join in

thanks

Now that I have a computer that can handle my needs, I may try this out. Before I was a little reluctent because I didn’t want to use my supplies, but I will go CG this time so it wont cost a penny.

I will pick No.1, as it seems the most natural there.

It may take me a few days to get started as I have a busy schedule.

#28

Although I am still a beginner I would love to participate. I hope I will finish my image in time - because I am a very slow painter.
Here is my first scetch.

#32

#33

Yayy! Im in for sure, I missed you all too much, good luck to everyone with your pieces

#34

hmmm…i’l b slow cuz of exams but i’l try to match the deadline

#35

I have started to work only with black color to show the form and base illumination. A background is color. Then I shall try to put whitewash and on top thin transparent strokes color. If it will turn out. As in the real painting.

#36

Good to see regulars like DiM and Frejasphere back here, and also great to see newcomers on board - keep pushing your work guys, I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress.

This is all kinds of bad.

thinking of doing a couple or so…
need the practice

Biondina
It was difficult keeping her look young enough…even now she still looks older…

Study for The Martyrdom of St. Symphorien
Page change got in the way + some negative forms didn’t come out very well.
Better work out the whole instead of working my way to the next page…

cheers
