Open Figure Drawing Workshop - Hals, Waterhouse, Velazquez, and Leighton - 018

#201

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. I find this thread move too fast to comment on everyones work, but I have to say the standard is incredible.

eilidh: Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them. I have to say that it is also nice seeing traditional media being used by yourself, and to a high level. I have to say “right back at you” concerning the expression of the pope, you are doing a great job, and you have created a wonderful shine on his robes. Great stuff.:applause:

could have worked on the drawing forever and never been right so I
decided to just go with it.

first bit of paint:)

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delayed response time, it took me a while to set up the 50 portraits thread. It’s great to see the incredible work here. Mazalo, that is just amazing work!

Cheers,

eili - amazing pencil work. great detail. kudos

fate - what are you using, watercolor?

maz - how do you find the time for all the people? That is something else.

sturm - don’t get flustered. just take the weekend off and come back to it. It is coming along quite nicely.

reb - where’s yours and what have you been doing?

Nice work everyone, it’s all coming along very well. This is a lovely thread… thanks Rebecca for setting it up. =]

I like some other people chose one of the simpler ones. Hopefully this means I can do another copy before the deadline. Well, here’s my addition.

So much great work in here! The museums are going to be careful in the future - a lot of good copies out there nowadays

I´m not gonna join this one. I fell totally in love with Geromes way of painting and, most of all, his colors. So I´m continuing the theme and doing another copy over in my own thread. I think I can learn so much from him.

But, I´ll lurk around as always following your progress and say AAAAAHHHH and WOW and other constructive comments:wavey:

C´ya!
