offset Particle age within single event

I am trying to figure out how to offset the time of my particles (animated instanced object) emitting within a single event. I was wondering if anyone knew a work around to achieve this or a birth script that would help me. Thanks

or another way I’m trying to solve this problem but still need help with is finding a way to retain a particle position after sending it to another event… keeping the “lock on emitter” option working into the next event.
