Object Way Off Camera in Messiah

Hi, I am trying to resolve an issue with Messiah 2.4.

when I load a LW object (*.lwo) into Messiah, it is always very huge and way off camera.

the same scene in LW8.5 is fine. the object is in front of the camera however when I connect to Messiah, I see the camera in Messiah but the object is far off into the distance and did I mention that it is huge.
