Object: Logitech Mouse

This is my second 3D model. Looking for comments and crits on how to improve lighting and realism.

I do have bump maps and specular maps on the black parts of the mouse, but you can’t really see them at this low of resolution. Be as harsh as you’d like.

You need to smooth out your model. You got jagged edges. And lighten up the black part better. It’s hard to tell right now because, I can’t see it very well. But, it’s looking pretty good so far. Keep going.

I have the same mouse, MX700 i presume, and the silver part i think shoudl be a bit more silver. OTher than that it looks great!

I’m using that mouse right now. It looks too long in your image. The mouse is somewhat “stockier”. And as others said, it’s segmented, which needs to be smoothed out. Also, the black in the front should come up higher, when I put my mouse at the same angle as your first pic, I can see the black part that goes around the front.

The white part should look more metallic and a bit darker.

Good start.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll see if I can get to fixing the problems tommorow. I’ll try to get a wire up too.

By the way… stats…
