nParticle Instanced Geometry transform offset


Hello all,

I’ve been working with nParticles and using different types of geometry instanced to them. I keep getting a weird translate offset when designating which geo to instance.

For example: I am emitting particle from a ground surface and want to instance a chuck of grass. From what I understand the pivot point on that chunk of grass will be placed where the particle sits on the floor. Unfortunately I keep getting an “offset” on the instanced geo. It will sometimes just be offset in X or Z 10 units or so and I will have to manually move the Instance node roughly where the particles are on the mesh… Sometimes the grass chunks are floating in the air and not sitting on the particles. Anyone else get this type of result? If so, what did you do to have the instanced geo just sit on the particles?
