Noob animator question

#1

what would be the most effective way to make an “easy ease” effect animation using maya? i doubt it would be adding more keyframes… or is it?

and you could try adding more time to the action

Well when you do animation like attack and then after the attack the character doesn’t suddenly stop but ease out.
We’ll talk about this example.
The hard way is after that you will key , pose , extend the time to make the ease out effect.
Let me said the end of the attack is at frame 50 , and you should extend the attack to frame 54 to make 4 frames ease out effect. The easier way is you’ll key one frame at frame 48 , and there is lil different between frame 48 and 50, that is the range of ease out effect. Now the final thing you should do is move the key 50 to frame 54 , make the end of ease out, and move the frame 48 to 50, make the end of attack. Now you have 4 frames ease out that’s very easy to make. The character attacks , then ease out. No extend posing , keying, timing.
Sorry for my bad English cuz it’s not my primary language.
