Nigredo's Temptation

#1

I have difficulties to name my image.

Black? Gravity? Seduction? Battle of Chaos versus Order?

in the end, I choose the title from Carl Jung’s Philosophy/Alchemy, because it fits with the story/philosophy I wanted firstly :
Nigredo is a state of blackening in alchemy, or a state of putrefaction or decomposition.
Or in Carl jung’s philosophy means a moment of great despair to develope a personality.

So my idea was to create a blackness that swallows light, as light finds a beauty inside black.
And the black begins to glow bluish as it ate light.
Dark and light can also be interpreted as:
Chaos and Kosmos, or gravity versus 3D object.

Edit :
I used Maya only.

Thank you for the comment ^^

I regret to upload my image… after I saw your work, I 'd like to edit it with some photoshop’s magic… but it’s too late.

mm… more about this image?
As I’ve said, this should be an abstract story about dark versus light, fluid vs hardness, etc etc.
I made the dark to be like a flower, with hands as it’s petals which try to pull/absorb the light inside it, and to make the light part of itself. (That’s why the dark has a little blue color)

I think title is perfect. I love the image in its simplicity and cleanyness. I imagine you could use it in a commercial.
Maybe you can work on the background. I don’t like the grey you use. But it is a personal opinion, of course.

Thank you for the comments, LAV
An Input is always important.

The grey… well… I thought the grey should represent the order side (which means, there should be another white other than the cube).
But now, to be honest, I just feel silly to put it grey… It’s too plain.

Thanks for the input again.
