I broke my right hand about a year ago, and that was a very frustrating (and painful) experience. I recall saying the only thing worse would have been a damaged eye(s) (considering the silly obsession we are in). Get well soon

thank you, leo. am getting better…
i’m sure everybody has been doing some research
but i thought i’d share some more info:

Sorry to hear about your eyes! But glad to hear you’re feeling better. Eye trouble is a pain seeing as one tends to be using them constantly. Rest 'em good!
Thanks for the reference images - good stuff.

thank you mark, sónia and linda. i was better, caught up on my concept work and even found some time to work on this. unfortunatly, my eyes had a fall back and i spent a night at the hospital emergancy room. since, i have been taking antibiotics and my vision was blurry all week. but life doesn’t pause or wait for you.
however, i am not even done cleaning the plate yet. today i feel a bit better,
so i’ll try to get some’ done. thank you for your support.
i cleaned up. but i’m sure people are sick of this image by now…

Now get busy and bust out with something that will make us all cry ha ha
That’s some great reference there! Blimey I wish I’d seen that when I was doing the clean plate part…

as for reference, most of mine is cambodia
but i am most likely to combine the look with some yucatan.
Isn’t that house in the roots great? I have that on my pc, can’t remember what I was searching for at the time but came across that pic and thought it was so cool I had to save it
linda - yes, agkor wat is amazing. and full with land mines around it, as i heard.
the plate is currently 3208x3008px, which is going to change soon.
That’s tasty. Nice idea and comp. No crits here.
Am I seeing a Mayan temple pyramid in the background?
I like the whole comp. Very nice approach. Different to what I would have pictured. Feels pleasing to see sky. I very much like the style for the foliage right now, and i’m sure it will only get better, keep going!!!
[right]it is saturday in tokyo and i noticed that the deadline got pushed to wednesday.
yes, quadart, mayan it is. i took a few min and through together some stuff…
i’ll probably get around to work a bit on this. so, i might even have a final entry. extending deadlines always helps. thanks, dave. but i don’t think i’ll have a cam move in this.

great idea to open the sky like this.I’d change the perspective of the church the way you did for your sketch to give it a more massive feel. looking good so far, keep it up.
Is that green on the building some kind of moss? (sorry, I can’t magnify the pic
) The color is a bit too bright. Also, the plants behind the stairway arches should be in the shadow since they seem to be close to the building.
Other than that it’s going well.
thanx there marco and sónia. i am currently pushing pixels around 500mb file size. but i didn’t get to work on this too much due to enjoying the nice weather a bit over the weekend. tomorrow ain’ lookin’ too goode 'cause i wanna go see pirates. i’ll submit whatever i have wednesday…
i messed wit it somewhat.
