Nice finish. It is dramatic.
The perspective thing mentioned isn’t bothering me, as the structure does look like it is sinking into the ground, but the car is drawing my attention constantly. It appears too large for it’s position, greatly diminishing the scale of the museum, in my head.
Again, very dramatic image.

Good luck.

#82

Thank you.
I’ll have a look at the cars scale.

Awesome. Great job. I especially like the crumbled wall on the left side, it very much remidns me of rocks worn away by the sea. Excellent work overall, congrats on getting it all finished!

#84

loving it
I also think the car seems a bit big next to the NHM.
love the seaweed on the rocks and sign

EDIT: i just saw the boat, now THATS cool :applause:

#85

Thank you, guys !

Did some tiny changes. Changed the rocks on the right, so they don’t look like repeating shapes anymore.

#86

Ah, yes!
Perfect! :applause:

Thank you Sonia.

As I’m new to the camera Projection Technique, but really willing to learn it, I’m going to give it a try. Don’t know if the time is enough for me to finish it the way it looks acceptable, because I cannot render it on my slow mac mini at home. It’s going to be alot of guessing how things are working out when rendered.
(Water reflections are a thing that I think won’t be enough time for  )

Here’s the 3D modeled scene so far.

#88

Oh, you’re gonna try it!
I can’t wait to see how this turns out.

It’s seem that i’ll not be the only one to try the camera move . I think u are really more advanced then me on this stage…

really nice work on the stage 3, original idea and nice painting.

Good luck ! and i hope u will have time to finished ur move.

Hey man, this is looking really cool. Hope you can get it finished in time. The tricky part is the water reflections, not too sure how you’ll pass that one off. One idea might be to some how paint in a mask of the water areas and apply a reflective material to that then play around with some fancy comping techniques. Not quite sure but i’m betting its possible somehow. You could also add in a little mist to cover areas that dont work too well.

Good luck - Dave

Well I got the reflections working with a particle simulation.
But damn there went something wrong in the particle baking. The computer crashed one time doing it, I guess it caused the little waterjump. There are some smaller issues that I’d like to change in the animation. But I’ve got no time left to do it … so I posted my final results. Please have a look at the final entries thread to see the animation.

Again … good luck to all participants.
This was alot of fun.
