I can forgive NT, because it is what i have come to expect from them… So I am not surprised one bit by the way it was handled. What i have a much harder time forgiving is people that continue to lie to themselves and others about the poor way that NT handles them self! If you read phil and dsw posts they imply that this is how business is done in the software industry…and that there was no deception on NTs behalf. If they actually believe that they may be interested in this bridge that i have for sale. There WAS deception on many different levels…

And bryphi (NOW known as cg4me) has been banned here before in this very thread, so it’s not surprising he comes BACK here to dis Newtek and those of us who show support for Newtek. But that’s who he is. A malcontent troll.

Apparently there are “some” of us who knew what we were getting into and feel that Newtek did NOT lie at all. I’m quite happy with the way CORE is progressing and am looking forward to a great release.

I hope this thread doesn’t go down into a cagefight. There have been enough of those already (on other forums though) and I will admit that I was in one of them. Conclusion: It doesn’t help and is way below anything that can be seen as constructive.

You are, as anyone else, entitled to your oppinion, but it does seem that alot of what you say is diminished by the less flattering words you use to describe it. People tend to not get your point, but instead get that you are upset by something they never understood because it is covered in bile and many never manages to read through that stuff. I know you are a guy who can manage being constructive and I think your videotutorials on LW shows that very well. It would be cool if you could take that methology into your posts as well. :thumbsup:

Na… don’t even care that much. I didn’t upgrade so it doesn’t effect me at all. That said, I don’t come on the net to walk on eggshells and worry about sensitive peoples feelings. If posts on a forum make you mad… you got far bigger problems than NTs crappy business dealings. I just speak my mind uncensored… if people don’t like it Oh well, If I get banned Oh well! My freedom of expression is much more important to me than fans or forums…

just seems to me that your policy is sending the message… “wait as long as you can to upgrade because we will kick you in the nutts, as its an industry standard”.

HAHAAHAHA, thats a nice example, just a bit of an FYI - I hate apple because of their policies fo screwing customers and selling overpriced junk. Its funny that you used that for an example and if this is what NT is aspiring to… well toodles.

like i said, i dont like this policy, as i bought my license of 9 right at the end of the beta cycle and then i hear that my copy i just bought is now obsolete and will be phased out in the future… niiice…
and i dont see what makes other people who buy stuff just a little bit later so special. Doesnt really inspire customer loyalty from my POV though.

Well… that’s YOUR interpretation. If you extrapolate what you’re saying, you want to skip buying every other upgrade and just purchase one upgrade for every two. Have LW6… LW7 comes out but you wait… then LW8 is announced so you buy LW7 NOW and get LW8 for free… then LW9 comes out… you wait… LW10 is announced and you buy LW9 now and get 10 for free. So NT continually loses money? But the fact is… you CAN do it this way and NT allows you. And NT allows you to upgrade for the sme price no matter what version you are upgrading FROM - unllike MANY other software companies. But I guess NT really wants to gouge it’s customers.

And this is pretty much how I’ve seen EVERYONE do business. You call it NT kicking “nutts” but if that’s the case, then so does EVERYONE else. You just decided to bust NT “nutts” because you enjoy slamming NT. As if we didn’t know this.

yeah, we know, you just like to harass. ALL older software gets “phased out” - what software doesn’t? You can still use it NOW and will be able to use it three years from now. or if you buy the next version of LW, there will be CORE plus LW10 - which is the improved LW9 with more features. What is your problem? Oh yeah… like cg4me… you just want to bellyache and spread your words of discontent. Fortunately… most of us don’t see it as you or he does. :slight_smile:
