It couldn’t be Lightwave 10 so soon after 9.6, could it? Way too much to hope for, I know.
Good way to get people’s attention whatever it is.
hmmm. had some cryptic comments from friends dropped about 10 lately that got me wondering…now this countdown…and I think I see a “ten” in there.??
But then I shudder to think… this may also just be NT’s attempt at advertising gone wrong again.
Thats exactly what I thought as well. Theres a few references there that somehow look like “Ten” and “Newtek” and “LW”. But wishful thinking I guess.
I went as far as splicing the image and matching things up. rotating/stretching/flips etc, but could get anything out.
if it is ten i wonder what they put in it since they just made all the changes with 9.6
May be modeler and layout merged but im sure they know they gonna have to do more than that to get ppl to upgrade.
Cant wait, passed up on the 9 phase to see if the animation tools got better and the changes done in 9.5 made me wanna buy it. glad i waited
they may be workn on the renderer, 1 way into every studio
arrrghh its very frustrating !!!
i am hoping for 64bit Mac version !!
that would bring all the versions into line and wrap up the pre version 10 campaign…
well done newtek… something cool has finally come from there marketing dept !!
Nope it’s not VT, Jay is president of 3D Department and “only” 3D thing they offer is Lightwave :). After all even e-mail subject says LW.
Let’s wait and see but kudos to NT Marketing team whatever it is :).
well if it dose (not sure as the “t” in “the” and the “T” in “Threshold” are a different way up but it looks promissing) then the small writing says …
“More to Follow”

Ahh, but does it follow that they were only working on 9.6 alone?
It is possible that LW10 was being developed behind the scenes whilst work continued on building the 9.X series. Of course, I could be wrong about that.
Oh, I’m sure they have been working on 10 concurrently, but I just wouldn’t expect it to be ready so soon after the release of 9.6.
I don’t want to get my hopes up too high, but it’s still fun to speculate about what Newtek is about to unleash.
I hear that, I’m just going to see what exactly does happen when that counter reaches Zero.
Of course, chances are, I’ll be at work and stuck in development hell so I’ll probably be late to the party heh.
What hours are you working these days? The counter reaches zero at 21:00 G.M.T. or I’ve calculated wrong… always a possibility.
