[newb]Deform on Armpit

So This is my first model also first rigged model. I want to know how to get around this deformation problem with the armpits. Will I have to look into maya muscles or can it be something as simple as better skin weights?

i think just skin is fine, if you need more detail, looking for blendshape.

A little bit of blended weighting could fix that little pinching, however, if you add additional ‘muscle’ bones into your rig you could have better deforms.

the red bones are standard ones, you probably have, and the blue one would be linked to something furthur down the spine, and the shoulder, and could be stretchy. then you can weight the fleshy peck muscle area to that to get better deforms.

This is something i do on most my characters.
