Excuse me Thomas but have I insulted you somehow in my comments about messiah? I don’t think I have. You on the other hand seem to think nothing of insulting me (the comments above and the comments about my film), as if that has any bearing whatsoever on messiah. Please stop acting like a child.
As for the "talented people are doing great work" comment, that happens to be true. Did I say the program is perfect or that it does everything they could ever want it to do? No, I didn't, and it's disingenuous of you to try to make it seem like that's my view. In fact, the quote that you convieniently left off says that we're working with lots of talented people to improve messiah. OK, it doesn't do hair. But since everyone who's using messiah also has another program (since messiah has no modeler) hair is still possible. I used hair in my movie by using messiah with LW. Is that ideal? No. Would I have rather done it all in messiah? Sure. But rather than give up and cry or go around insulting people, I dealt with it and made a movie.
As for working in CG, I know your comment was just meant as a humorous insult (which is so helpful and productive on a software forum), but I'll asnwer anyway: I can work in the CG industry because I know what everyone else knows, which is that no tool is perfect, and the art of digital FX and animation is the art of the work-around. (Or, in some cases, it's the art of contacting your company's software team-- ever see the size of the credits for the software team in a movie these days? Take a look at the credits for an ILM or Pixar film. :))
The basic thing you need to ask yourself is why your attitude annoys people more than it helps? Go through this thread (or any other one) and you’ll see people finding bugs or complaining or asking for new features but it doesn’t spiral into insults. It doesn’t get like that until you post. You can’t seem to accept that some people don’t have the same opinion as you. Perhaps you can learn something from the other people here. No one’s saying that we only want cheerleaders here, but throwing around insults (and this is hardly the first time you’ve done it) is not constructive in any way. And speaking of cheerleaders, it’s high time you understood that just because someone has something positive to say doesn’t mean they’re mindless cheerleaders.

That reminds me of this:
