New tutorial and workshops by Eterea

#1

Hi guys

I want to share with you my latest article/tutorial: [“Iluminación en 3D basada en imágenes. Simulación de la iluminación HDRI” (“Image based 3D lighting. HDRI lighting simulation”)](http://www.etereaestudios.com/training_img/hdri_fake/hdri_fake_es_01.htm).

The only drawback for much of you: at this moment it's only available in Spanish language (maybe some gentle man/woman could help me with the english translation in the near future ;-)

Anyway I hope that you can enjoy with this stuff (specially if you are able to read my native language).

Apart from this I want to announce here the new upcoming EtereaWorkshop that I will teach here in my town, Zaragoza (Spain). This 2 days (14 hours) workshop will be focused on [Advanced Texturing, Lighting and Postproduction Techniques](http://www.etereaestudios.com/training_img/etereaworkshop_01/etereaworkshop_01.htm). You can find more info about this event [HERE](http://www.etereaestudios.com/training_img/etereaworkshop_01/etereaworkshop_01.htm) (sorry, in Spanish only).

      All the best.

Nice stuff Cristobal… may I suggest for those who can not speak spanish try Alta Vista’s Babel Fish. Its not the best translation, but for a quick review. It helps.

Is your avatar icon a CG feather? If so, how did you do it?

#5

Hi guys, thanks for your comments.

The feather on my avatar becomes from an old animation I did 6 years ago: “The Project” (you can see it floating in the air at the begining of that movie).

I scanned a real feather, retouching in Photoshop to get a good alpha from it and then I applied the RGB and alpha as clipmap to a deformed EIAS plane.

Best regards.

Very nice tutorial, Cristobal (y, por una vez, tuve el perverso placer de leerlo en español, sabiendo que los anglofonos tardarían un poco más) a very clever use of the lightRig plug in.
Thanks for sharing
