welcome to wings d0c.

There are some great links for learning on the wings forum too.

I hope you give wings a good chance, and you may grow to love it as much as a lot of us do.

rather than start a new thread, thought I’d ask here…how do I manipulate the camera, other than auto-rotate?

press MMB to start orbit

after clicking MMB, press “Q” to pan

LMB to stop pan/orbit

scroll wheel for zoom/track

select object/face/edge/vert, press “A” to frame or aim camera at selection

just incase, you didn’t know:

LMB = Left Mouse Button
MMB = Middle Mouse Button
RMB = Right Mouse Button

Keep an eye on the info box at the bottom of the screen, it will tell you your camera controls and options for using tools when they’re selected.

All menu commands can be assigned a shortcut, just hover your cursor over the command and press / (or insert on Win) and then your hotkey, done!

The default shortcuts for vert is v, faces f, edges e object (body) b

Press z, shift z, x, shift x, y, shift y to view down the axes. - Baz

if you are used to a particular software before, you might be able to change the camera navigation method.

Blender, maya, Mirai, and several other setups are supported.

I wouldn’t say we know the most… okay, we do!!! :smiley:

Yeah the other camera modes are worth a look, but unless you are really attached to one of them, I reccomend sticking with the default mode. Bjorn did a great job with it… in fact I wish I could make the other apps cameras work like wings’.
