A follow up would be great. The most important parts are done, thats for sure, but it would be nice to see a professional end to this great start

give us a Sequel Dave.
It would be very interesting to see you do modelling videos for a Body
or for different body parts. This was extremely helpful to alot of people.
Thanks again man.
Next video is in the works.
And by all means, save the video to disc. It’s free, and it’s for you guys to enjoy and hopefully learn something fun and useful. Do with them as you will, just don’t modify them.

Heya ! Just stumbled on this thread, really excellent learning material, Dave ! Thanks so much for the time and effort put into it !
Can’t wait to see the next one : )

First of all, thank you for this great tutorial! I’ve watched it frame by frame, searching for your minute modeling techniques. Yet, now I’ve hit a dead end. I’ve been going forward from what I’ve learned from you; modeling the upper crown and areas around the eye to connect the nose bridge and eye sockets. What I’ve noticed at this point is my inability to fully grasp the technique of looping my edges to keep a clean object and build my model outwards from this center.
Do you have any suggestions on this process- or threads which focus on this technique?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks again, and I can’t wait to see more videos from ya Dave!
Holy crap. I was a bit skeptical when you started your modeling with the lips, but that turned out extremely well. I’ll definitely be giving at least the lips a shot now.
Just curious though…How long have you been into 3d modeling? ![]()
Hey Dave, just wanted to say I loved your tutorial, I’ve never ever been able to model a human head, but my friend introduced me to your tut a few days ago, and I’ve been working through it upto now! Not only can I create a realistic human head now, but I also have a better understanding of polytools, etc.
Please give us more! If we could get tuts on modelling other parts of the body I think everyone would really appreciate it
Thanks again!!

Geezuz, that’s a pretty handy video. Being a person who’s just starting out using 3D, it’s truly inspiring to see a professional’s workflow and talents. I’ve just started out using Maya so seeing 3DsMax is something to get used to. I’ll try to use the same principles and carry it over to Maya for my own modeling purposes. Btw, does anyone have any links to some REALLY good organic poly modeling tutorials, preferrably for Maya? I need ones I can do and learn the most in the least amount of time (that’s always the case though). If you can help out, great.
Once again, awesome video.
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial!
I don’t have Max but it works just the same in XSI.
I, too, would love to see you finish the head in a second video.
Very beautiful work - thanks so much for sharing
thankyou so much…i learned more in the 1 1/2 hours it took me to get through
this tut than in alot of books…i can’t wait for you to finish! you’re approach made
total sense to me and was brilliant…
now…the…parts i filled in are maybe a different story %)
Excellent. Its great to see so many individuals share and learn from each other instead of trying to compete with each other to death. :applause:. Great Tutorial. Its a bit fast, but I’m sure that I can manage to slow it down to catch the steps better.
Unfortunately, I have one problem. I can never figure out how to get those scripts/tools to install properly. I need a very detailed explanation on how to get them to work with Max 7. If someone would be kind enough as to show me how, that would be greatly appreciated. ![]()
All you guys and gals here keep up the great work and positive vibe going. Its wonderful.
Thanks Again.
Excellent tutorial. Unfortunately, I can never get the hang of installing those scripts/tools. Could anyone here be kind enough to give me a detailed explanation on how to get those scripts running properly in Max 7? Then after I install them, how do I find them?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Keep up the great work and the positive vibe going…all of you.
Thanks again.
