New here (duh)

I just signed up a couple of days ago… I’ve been spending time reading through the forums and getting a feel for the place before actually saying anything anywhere…

I’ve been dabbling in digital illustration on and off for a year and a half or so… although I’ve been using Photoshop for much longer. I got my start manipulating photographs way back in the day, and a few years later, began writing Photoshop tutorials for the web and a couple of books, as well. Eventually I got the urge to stop drawing on paper or painting on canvas, and move to a digital medium entirely. (As a stay-at-home mom, I have to admit that it’s nice to be able to “paint” without the hassle of actual paints and messy stuff that little ones would be tempted to get into.)

Anyway, that’s me in a nutshell. A very small one.

I totally agree about digital painting and art not leaving all that messy stuff for little ones to get into! You don’t have to wash out the brushes either!
