Tomas, great work, as ever. If you have some time can you elaborate a bit the process?
In the cockroaches, the terrain is digital too? all the renderings are in EiAS? in the Albany add, how was done the animation?
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Parabéns! I always love your work. Very inspiring. The “Cockroaches” concept is very funny and the animation is excellent. Congrats!

Obrigado Rick and Felix,

Im happy when my friends didnt know whats going on a film.
I have a mix of digital Cockroaches & real ones… I have some troubles to direct the real ones… “Hey, please… can you go to that side…and run faster”…hehe
The terrain is filmed… I did some animations with EIAS CA tools and used Flock this to crowd simulation.

Albany was modeled an rendered in EIAS… but the soaps was animated in Maya… and export like a .obj sequence with UV maps (OBJ2FACT)… quite simple.
btw: I only animated in Maya because Im totally busy doing more 3 films togheter right now with EIAS and I asked Maya fereelancers to animate to me.

Thankssss

Tomas

beautiful work! Cockroach is nicely designed with true believability.
the longer animation with the blimp is extremely well thought out and
executed! I love your transitions and camera moves

Thanks for sharing.

Amazing work !

I´m not on Maya, but anyway…are these soap animations done with bones or just with deformations ?

Cheers
Tom

#8

Hi,

Only bones… and its a simple setup… EIAS can do it without any prbs

Thanksss

Tomas

Very nice work! But you need to tell EIAS to deinterlace your footage before they post it.

FACTORY, that is my favorite one. Nice ideas, transitions and storyboards. I like at the end when the guy jjumps from the Zepellin hahahaha your matte painting team did a good job on that one.Cheers

It’s really up to the user on the AD to decide what they need from character animation. EIAS can handle most of it. It’s only when animators decide they want FK/IK, spline IK and or SDK to automate their workflow. EIAS is still a great software for most CA needs. I use it when ever possible.

Again great work. Keep churning out GREAT CA WORK WITH ElectricImage Animator!!!

Thank you very much…

I have a great EIAS team here too:
Fenando Barros, Marcio Mattos, Orlando Sá, Eric Tosseti, Rodrigo Violanti…
Im becoming more happy to see all EIAS artists doing more and more incredible jobs.
