Hello, I am new to posting because I never felt like my work was good enough before. Still very much on the road of improvement. I would love to make this piece better as I’m sure there’s something that can be improved, thank you for any comments/thoughts etc. in advance.

Cyber Hunt
New cyberpunk piece, would love to improve this.
cheers
Was messing with this with my mouse today to try and show a few things you could try.
If you want to make an object look big one great tool to help is lowering the contrast and making it appear to be constructed of lots of really small parts…think of an aircraft carrier with small planes, attena,s etc also placing it in shadow. I could spend 6 hours on this just playing with all the cool lighting scenarios placing her in a city would allow. I would keep it subtle and avoid placing building windows all over in favor of a few big screens
inverse square law is a fun rule for this piece as well.
I honestly wouldn’t take it to far rendering wise tell the story…put her in the middle of the city and buildings not in front…put some rubble and life (people cars destruction under her hand) only put detail where you want to draw the eye try to kill it as much as possible where you dont want it and really loose some edges.
give her an object to connect to in her line of site it’s one of the strongest computational rules you have to help
would love to see you take another pass and see how it comes along. Overall its just time and anaylization I didn’t do much at all just a lil bit with my mouse and it already feels like the beginning of a cool story from what you started with. stick to it and take your time this piece should take 2-4 hours for a rough 6-8 for a finished concept and 2 days for a matte so give yourself the time you need to step back and think it through
avoid over designing, you can always design the buildings and character in a separate piece nail the composition and lighting.
lower your saturation you can always add it back in and go for the more comic feel but balance out your values and contrast first
looks like compression crushed it to black but the idea is there
This is fantastic man, thank you for your thoughts and time on it. Definitely shows the difference in impact with the change in screens and scale.
I’m going to rework it and try 2 or 3 new compositions, get the lighting working in her favor like you mentioned. I’ll repost it when I’ve spent a bit of time on it.
Thanks
