To take a snap shot of your model, the easiest method would be to hit “Print Screen” on you keyboard with the model showing how you want it to show, then open “MS Paint” > Edit > Paste. This will give you a screen capture of what your working on to edit…more so to crop out the things that are not part of the model, like menu bars and such.
For textures, you’ll probally want to use Photoshop, or GIMP, but MS Paint will work for very basic looking textures. Wings has a UV Mapping feature.
As far as rendering, rending is what the final model will look like when you have lighting, textures, and material properties all combined - ie any 3d image you’ve seen that looks real, cast shadows, ect…
An example with out textures, but does have colors assigned is here: http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78452
Wings does do rendering other than basic OpenGL, so you’d have to use another program for this like PovRay, or YafRay.
Spend so time reading through the forums, not only ones specific to wings but cgtalks modeling, rendering, texturing fors for examples.
Download and look through the manual - it is well done, but some features have changed since its release.
