[left]Hi I was doing this house tutorial:

http://www.geocities.com/paulthepuzzles/aaroof.html

and i dont understand how to do this option:

12). Apply Vert | Scale Radial - use MMB option (pick axis for radial scale) and select the edge shown (one of the 2 ‘line of intersection’ edges) to define the axis.

all I can find is Vert | Scale Radial X/Y/Z but no MMB option…

Please tell me what im doing wrong.

Apply Vert | Scale Radial - use MMB option

Before I go any further, go to the Edit menu, and choose “Preferences”. In the “Advanced” tab, make sure “Advanced Menus” is checked, or you will not get the command options referenced in puzzledpaul’s tutorials.

Now, once you have advanced menus turned on…
In any menu in Wings, ALWAYS eye the command info at the bottom left of the screen. What button you clik to select the command from the menu changes how that command works. The differences are reflected in the info bar at the bottom left.

In this case, while in vertex mode, R-click to get the comman menu, scroll down to the “Scale Radial” command, and select the command with the Middle Mouse Button. But before you do, as you have “Scale Radial” highlighted in the menu, look down at the info bar at the lower left and you will see it tells you that clicking “M” will allow you to “Pick axis and point to scale from”.

hope that helps!

If you’re messing around with this type of thing, I’d also (strongly) recommend having a shufties at the Intersect page

The intersect commands were added to wings some time after I wrote the page you’ve been using and (apart from being generally excellent) are ideal tools for this kind of thing.

Vert / edge Scale Rad > 0% RMB /MMB is very useful anyway , so your time won’t have been wasted … … imo.

Thx for the interest, btw.
