Need help with position keyframes

Hi All,

AE noob here who would really appreciate some help. I’m having trouble with a motion path.

My stage has only one object on it, a PNG, and I’m just trying to move it in a straight line across the screen. For some reason aftereffects keeps causing it to perform a back and forth motion along the motion path. I believe it has to do with the position keyframes or something but cannot for the life of me figure it out.

I’ve been googling this for hours and trying to figure it out in the program but have gotten nowhere.

To sum it up, I want to get rid of the “zig zag” or “back and forth” motion of the object.

Since I have only CS4, I cannot open your project. But do you maybe have an expression enabled that makes the motion path loop?

I looked at your project and if I’m understanding you correctly just delete the keyframes in the middle. Leave the first and last. If you cant see your keyframes, select your layer and hit “U” to reveal them.
