Do you have “Other Dynamics: Opacity Jitter” set to “Pen Pressure”?

#3

no, my opacity jitter was set to Fade. i can’t get opacity style with Pen pressure! I got opacity from one side with Fade, but as you can see at picture, opacity comes from two sides! Is there any trick? By the way, this tutorial from Dylan Coles “Introduction to Landscape matte painting”.

That’s probably the problem then. Fade can’t fade off because it can’t predict when you are going to end the brush stroke, it can only fade in. Pen pressure can read whatever the pen is doing and work that.

So, I don’t think you can get in and out fade w/o pen control. Work some overtime this weekend and buy a tablet? They are really nice.

Anybody else? Am I missing something?

Gruhn, i think this function will be available only with tablet!

Nidirhab, if you don’t have a tablet you can use couple other techniques

  1. you can set the pressure to “fade”
  2. use the “pen tool” and stroke the path with “simulate pressure”
  3. buy a tablet
