For starters alot of your work seems to be done purely using a HB or B (From what i can see) I suggest to go out and buy some of the more darker tones if you havent done so already.
Now about your work. Your cartoon style seems pretty simple i’d make some more detailed work to show that you do have more of a range of style.
About your more detailed figures such as http://www.freewebs.com/lancer_fm/gallery/big/Pic09.jpg The measurements of the subject need to be right in order for the image to look good for example a persons whole body is about 7-8 times the size of their head. I would suggest drawing tons of anatomy drawings depicting muscles, movements once it becomes second nature to know where all the muscles etc are then you will find the porportions alot easier and the image will look alot more real.
