my vfs WIP reel

#16

nico3d - not big story, been an architect for 5 years now, just got tired of it and decided to change lifestyle :D. vfs is a great place to get to know people who eventually will help me do that. that s why i choose vfs.

mLink - i decided to make the car all shiny to try and show my diversity in shaders and modelling, if i make it all dirt i will not be able to show my variety os shader work that i got now on my works. about the skull, yap still a long way to go, it s my final piece and i got 2 more months to finish it

#17

so decided to let the old skeletor look behind and do something diferent. here s the update on the head support. try to mix a little bit of technology with old knights armour

#18

Hey man!

the new version is coming along quite nicelly as well, my only comment would be that the tendons holding the jaw wouldn’t do it. They’re too thin, the jaw would’t be still in that position… my suggestion would be keeping the bone on at least one side of it, and then hinge it kinda from there, making it crooked…

anyways, great job man, let me know when you have more rendered, even playblasted of that awesome camera you’d going on the environment, hehe.
cheers man, take care!

#19

LKalavera thanks dude, you right, still got to figure out how to make that stuff believeble. the bone is a good idea
about the movie i got an tes animation already done but i don t know where to host it. if you got ideas i will post it here

#20

Hey Omar! DUde, LK is the guy that works with me, I posted with his login by accident, hahah

try rapidshare or something like vimeo for the video…

#21

Good job Omar. Your talents really show through your work. I like how you are tailoring the character. Looks much better.

#27

ELDRAGON, well you ll do most of the trainning by yourself, but if you have some questions there s always someone there to help you

#28

well almost done with the car one more image

#29

very nice man, if you modeled and and lit this whole scene that pretty impressive, i like your environment work on this post man, would you mind posting wireframe on the car or a clay render. great job overrall.

#30

yap, i light it, model it , texture it and rigg it.thanks here s the wires

#31

very impressive, are you displacing your tire trad or is it modeled in, and thanx for dislaying the wire looks clean to me i look foward to seeing more.

#32

i just modeled in and use 2 textures one for the side one for the top

#33

The environment and the creature are really well done. I like them a lot.

But the car… Sorry man, it just doesn’t work for me. It’s well modelled and textured, but the design just doesn’t look that great. It’s a bit overstyled, and lacks the grace and elegance of car designs like the Lambo Gallardo or the classic Porsches. I realize you aren’t going to be evaluated as much on your car design skills as your modelling and texturing work (unless you’re applying for a car-design job, in which case the creature and enviro probably aren’t as interesting to them… ;)), but it just lets the other two pieces down quality-wise.
It’s pro modelling and texturing, but it doesn’t LOOK that way when you just see it because the design is so much like what a lot of other people are throwing out.

Lestat, well thanks for the comments, for the car is actually not my design, the car is a pagani zonda r you can search it on the pagani site if you wish. so i didn t have like a choice. i don t want to be a car designer (maybe in the future) this is only a modeling reel to show that i can do every type of modeling.
