Would anyone like to critique when you view my image? I’d actually like to hear if you have a problem with the picture, or if you like it. Thanks:thumbsup:

looks good.

but it suffors horribly from compression errors.
it looks very pixelated and Jpg’gy…

Hey, nice drawing! You did a good job on capturing the moment, and the expressions and body language are very fitting…shame on the picture compression…but whatever, still enjoyable
drawing wise:
The thing you seem to have more problmes with are the folds, they seem to be following somekind of a logical order, but theyre also misplace and all over the place, giving the wrong impression. The thing with folds is that you have to be aware of the fabric theyre made of, how the hang against gravity and how the characters movement influences them. If youre unsure were to place them, the joints are a good place to start (elbow area, shoulders, waist, etc) If those look right, then expand upon them little by little, there should be a reason for each one of them, etc, etc
The guys right hand seems allright, but his left is all out of proportion. Keep in mind what fingers are bigger than others! thats imprtant, also, if you have any problem with that just look at a mirror for reference. It does wonders
Hair looks allright, a tad fake on the guy, and a shame you decided for them both to have the same brown hair… but overall is good
Oh yeah, and one last thing, try to keep your linework consistant, like, the lines should remain just about as thick when something is in the same plane. If an object is closer to us, then the lines are thicker, if its farther awy, thinner, etc, etc
hope it helps!

It helps alot thank you. The hair is definately fake, but thats the hair I want on him. I’m working on techniques to master hand wrapping around different objects as we speak. Other than that the folds are definately a prob for me. I just use them for detail and stuff, but I never knew exactly how to draw them in correctly, so I’m gonna try and look at a bunch of clothing and stuff, for reference.

Linework can only be blamed on my instructor for character design. She would always complain how my line work was too consistant, and that there should always be varriations of big, bold lines and thin…but…that whole concept was a bit too complexing for me at the time, so I’d mess things up like that. But I’ll definately work on that too.

Hopefully I’ll have this site up so my next images will be clearer.
