multiple shadow masks compositing help needed

#1

Hi there.

Im quite new to combustion and currently trying to learn the application. I have a scene, where I have 2 shadow passes, one from the Keylight, the other from the Skylight. Both are brazil shadow masks, meaning the shadow information is in the color channel, and the Alpha channel contains all the objects in the scene. How Do I now paste those 2 channels onto my object. In After Effects I just created put those layers on top, using the luma_matte blending mode (or silhouette, dont remember). In Combustion, I can only have one stencil on a layer.

Hope someone can help!

For starters, I put both layers in a new composite, using additive blending mode and this layer as luma stencil for a black solid, but I find this pretty complicated. Any suggestions?

Try use the merge operator (add) the result of this operator use lin the stencil layer

Or… you could apply a luma key operator.

Discreet Keyer -> mode: Luma
