mudbox help

#1

hi i am currently working on a uni project and i am modelling a character on mudbox!
i started it with just using the default body that is available on mudbox and I modelled my character from that. I also want to be able to rig my character but the only problem I have is that the character is not on a T-pose stand! I was just wondering if there is any chance that I can make my pose into a T stand without ruinin my model or to have to start again?

This is the first time I have use mudbox and I rig things too. :frowning:

this is what it looks like at the moment

is there a way that I can raise the arms up on mudbox?

no, there’s no posing like ZBrush. you need to export the lowest level mesh, then import it into Maya or whatever modeller you use and then pose it there, reimport the mesh as a layer and then it will be posed in Mudbox.

The one nice thing about this is technique is that you can fade the layers so you can mix and layer poses.
