its out now… and yes you have seen right its nothing new…

but… there is something in the pipe…

I hear your frustration, and I’m sorry. We truly are just getting things back on track with Mudbox. We have already fixed scores of defects that we will deliver in Mudbox 2018 update 1 - I can’t give you an exact date because I don’t know myself just yet, but it shouldn’t be too long after Mudbox 2018. After that, we are planning on delivering some new features in a further update. I don’t yet have timing on that as we are still in planning. I will try to let you know as soon as I do. I promise there is no deliberate lack of transparency here.

The build that will be 2018 is already done, but all software we produce then has to go through a process of testing, documentation, localization, etc. Meanwhile, the dev team is already working on the next release before you get your hands on the current one. It’s just the way it works in a large software company.
