MR Final gathering issue

Hi!

I made my first scene on maya 2012 (i was working on maya 2009 until then), and I have a problem with final gathering. When I do my global illumination, it’s ok, photons works well but when i add the FG i have dirty spots everywhere and just can’t find out where is the problem.

I have activated the importons etc… and still can’t find out what’s the matter.
Do you know how i can resolve this?

Increase the point interpolation of the FG. Should blend out those blotches.

If the result before was pretty smooth and using FG now is suddenly splotchy, interpolation could be the problem, or you have something aggravating the FG result. (Possibly the hot-white light fixtures in the interior)

Increase the filter on FG to 1 (I tend to leave this at “1” by default)

This rather looks to me like you’re not using portal lights for your windows. If you’re using the sun/sky, and doing an interior shot, you’re gonna want to use portal lights. Look it up in the Maya help docs.
