Morpher Textures Possible?

I’m trying to use the Voice Device in MotionBuilder to do some live facial animation. What I want to do it create some flat faces textured with photograhs in the basic mouth positions and switch between them using Voice. This should give a kind of a choppy stop-motion feel to the face.

So far I have been unable to find a way to get the textures to swap with the simple face mesh. MotionBuilder seems to completely ingnore the Morpher Modifier from 3DS Max. I’ve looked for a workaround in MB, like altering the opacity of a textures based on the output of the Voice device, but nothing seems to give me enough control.

Anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this?
