Morning Coffee

#1

Hello everybody,

I am working on a 3d still and I’d like to share my progress, hopefully receiving some critique or constructive feedback.

The concept is an astronaut in space on board of a spacestation being far away from home yet sharing a small, human moment with the people on earth. Being tired after just getting up and having that first coffee in the morning.

In order to highlight the connection between the astronaut and earth and create an overall harmonic feeling I choose to base my comosition on the golden spiral, emphasising the hatch, the coffee and the face. Everything else will be rather cool and technical with the astronauts body almost getting lost in front of the spacestation backdrop with all it’s details.

Thanks for any feedback.

A couple of wip pictures.

And the last Background image for now. I will continue with the astronaut and add more details after she is in position.

What are you going to name it?
“Java in the Strato” j/k
Good start.I’ll keep watching this.

Thanks.

The tired astronaut in the making.

Didn’t have much time lately but here is some progress on the astronauts head. I added more definition and details trying to capture the tired look. In the finished image she will peek out of the window with one eye.

Started to create the arms and rough out the body in general as well as figuring out the pose for the astronaut in the scene.

#7

nice hard surface detail

I think you should rotate astronaut a bit so background of her face is that simple cloth, instead drowned in details of hatch

also her face looks like she is experiencing a horrible pain (change scene into an alien attack? :wip: )

also she really does look like man, not a woman but without clothes and hair it is too early to say
