MOON inspired lunarscape

just want to see what you guys think of this. I loved the movie by the way.

I think you need to work more on the moon surface, now it looks just like earth mountains, you need an “alien” look, creaters, and shadows… the surface looks like snowy landscape now,and it need longer shadows projecting from the sun

the earth could use more atmosphere as well, and if you see in this full color reference the moon has a “color” yellowish or something that makes it look more real

Thanks for your help, brilliant advice. I will keep updating this in my spare time.
I was wanting to keep it quite close to the films style. (Bright sun reflections, etc…) but I will add the long shadows and the craters instead of the mountains.

here is an update with your help. created a 3D lunar base in maya and composited in.
