A tribute to my favorite movie (Mononoke Hime) and to one of my favorite game (World of Warcraft).

I wanted the character ready for a game.

Hope you like it.

She’s fantastic. Great design and execution too!

I have one question and it’s not a crit, I’m just curious. When you were reducing the polycount to a simpler mesh, why stop at quads? Could the final meshes be triangle based?

wish they filmed Mononoke with this kind of style!

Thanks !

Scott -> Depending of the game engine you use, the conversion in tris is done automatically. So it’s not really a necessity, especially if you just want to make a render with Marmoset.

Really awesome! Great combination of stories.

I really love this. What’s your workflow? Do you use sculpting? Or do you use a low-res sub-d model and add in details via sculpting?

Very nice… and looking at your gallery shows you have a high range of styles.
Please share a little of what you know.

I really like how this looks!

I do have a question though, how did you go about making the fur stand out on the wolf? I’m wanting to get into doing the same thing, but don’t quite know where to start.

Believe it or not, I just saw Princess Mononoke for the first time last week. Incredible story, art and direction. Nice adaptation! 27K Tris seems a little steep for a game, but good work either way.
