monitor on really tight budget

#1

Hello!

My old 22" monitor got broken and I’m looking forward to buy a new one. Sad thing, I’m unemployed, so money is a serious issue. I’m just a newbie in 3D modelling and I’m very used to old standard monitors so it’s very likely everything is going to be a good updgrade for me.

Question is (considering the upcoming future) HOW CRUCIAL IS A TOP MONITOR in 3d modelling? I mean, will it be absolutely terrible if I buy something like this? https://www.asus.com/es/Monitors/VX239H/overview/

 Good things: IPS, srgb., 150€
not so good (but I guess still ok) : FHD 1920 x 1080

The idea would be upgrading to something more pro when easier times would come but sticking to this (or budget like) in the meantime.

I have had not so bad results with old second handed monitors when comparing them to other monitors at school.

Software I mainly use: Maya 2017, Substance Painter, Zbrush and Photoshop.

I also had considered the BenQ BL2420PT (and I understand this a better -maybe minimum- entry into Pro Monitors, but this would mean a greater effort I’m not so sure i really want to (or can) do (250€)

Thanks in advance for help!!

I would hit up a local used computer vendor if you’re on a tight budget. You can get a decent monitor for around $50 or less like an old Dell with 1080P resolution and a height adjustable stand. That Asus linked to would be fine as well. Really anything with 1080P or greater resolution and IPS or PVA/VA panel type will be sufficient. Avoid TN type panels (terrible color and viewing angles).
