mods for highres characters/enviroments etc?

hey I was wondering is there a mod or something that I can place a 4000-8000 poly, fully textured and rigged, character ( with possible animation files as well) to test it out to see/show that it works right?

Also I’d be interested if I could import my own environments as well into such a setup…

I’m looking for something affordable ($100 - $200 or less or better yet free) … I’m working on my must-get-into-the-game-industry portfolio and if I could find such a program it would certainly help me out alot

you can try virTools (www.virtools.com), it’s a tool to create small 3D-games and presentations, seems pretty powerful but i don’t know about the prize. i think there are some other tools like this around, at least i have seen one other some time ago, but i dont remember the name of it, which will differ in prize…
