Roux: The chin seems slightly small on your model. Maybe lower it a bit. Kind of tricky though, because if you lower it too much it’ll look too masculine which you said you were trying to avoid.
babakabob: Cool models. Thanks for the comments. This is one of my favorite threads also. Along with the thread on body topology in the Maya forums. It’s sort of ironic that two threads that feature a ton of helpful images,discussion, and info that’s not software-specific are found in software specific sections.
I picked up one very important point from that box modeling tutorial - Early in the initial steps, while you’ve only got a few divisions in the cube shape, begin moving points to get the general head shape. If you wait until you’ve sliced and diced the model into more sections, then that’s just more points you’ve got to move around to get the correct shape. This is probably mentioned in every box modeling tutorial, but for some reason it didn’t sink in 'til now for me.
