Wow, really stellar reel! Great modeling and the presentation of your turntables and wires is very tasteful. Going in my inspiration folder now.
Modeling Demoreel
Wow, so much great feedback, thank you everyone! It’s encouraging to keep at it:)
prokopy: I used Maya and Zbrush for most of the modeling, [shave and a haircut](http://www.joealter.com/) to model the hair with the [p_hairtk](http://www.puppet.tfdv.com/download/shaders_p_e.shtml) shader, and Mental Ray to render. If you're going to render in mental ray, i suggest taking a look at the [MentalCore](http://core-cg.com/products/mentalcore/overview/) plugin. There's a demo on his site, it'll make rendering passes and setting up linear workflow a lot easier.
The song is Tycho - A Walk.
Thanks again!
Such inspiring pieces of work! Big congratulations for the level of expertise you’ve achieved
Really good show reel! Found the wireframes really interesting and i also liked how you had personal projects in together with the professional work you’ve done
Agreed! I dig the way your loops flow on your ladies but also on the vehicle and gun as well… It shows real dedication to your craft. A solid, concise reel and a well deserved plug :buttrock:
Great modeling. For the Matrix part I’d suggest you show the models in detail as I hardly see your parts in the last shot overview.
I’ve been told more than once that music is basically a no-no, and rotations should be pretty fast. Someone wants to get the impression of your reel instantly, with no waiting- reviewers typically have hundreds to sort through. While this work is outstanding, it incorporates music and slow rotations. Can anyone weigh in on this?
