Modeling Demoreel

#1

Hi,

I'm putting together a new demoreel and I'd like to get some feedback on it. Coments and Critique welcome.

It looks like the vimeo embedding only plays the SD version. The video on my site is an HD version,
[demoreel](http://www.mikefudge.com)[, clicky here!](http://www.mikefudge.com) it's at the bottom of the page.

      Thanks!

Thank you for the kind feedback! After working as a recluse for so long it’s nice to know if it’s good or bad.

OMg, this is really amazing!! the first girl’s just shocked me , great!!

#6

Great and inspiring, first class modeling.

#7

Beautiful work my friend. The first model’s subtle detail is pure magic. I love your song choice as well and how everything is edited to fit the mood.

Again, suburb reel.

You rarely see somebody that can do both organic and hard surface modeling to such an astonishing level. Fantastic.

Amazing character and demoreel,congrats.

Wow, really stellar reel! Great modeling and the presentation of your turntables and wires is very tasteful. Going in my inspiration folder now.

(nice track too)

#15

Good day Sir,

What kind of modeling software did you use? thanks.

#16

Wow, so much great feedback, thank you everyone! It’s encouraging to keep at it:)

prokopy: I used Maya and Zbrush for most of the modeling, [shave and a haircut](http://www.joealter.com/) to model the hair with the [p_hairtk](http://www.puppet.tfdv.com/download/shaders_p_e.shtml) shader, and Mental Ray to render. If you're going to render in mental ray, i suggest taking a look at the [MentalCore](http://core-cg.com/products/mentalcore/overview/) plugin. There's a demo on his site, it'll make rendering passes and setting up linear workflow a lot easier.

The song is Tycho - A Walk.

Thanks again!
