Modeling demo reel

#1

At the end of last year I put together a demo reel showing some of my modeling stuff to show for some potential freelance work.

Anyways, I thought I’d post it just to get some extra feedback.

Here it is…

Pretty decent reel you have there. I really liked the lighting and specular highlights in most of your work. The grass looked really good blowing in the wind in the one scene. The only thing I thought that may have brought the reel down a bit was that animation on the one creature you had looked a bit weird to me since no other part of it’s body was moving and also since it was the only character you had animated on the reel. I would say your better off with out any animation on it unless you are able to do very convincing movment on the entire character. Overall very nice work though.

Nice real. But I would remove a bunch of things. plus shorting a few clips.

First I’d fade to black in the first clip. Before to much of the long shot is revealed. It’s a cool shot and nice camera move. But the models looks to cloned.

Take out alot of the creature models. Just leave the female at the end. Maybe leave her face up alittle longer. The female in the end is fare better than any of the other models.

Take out the shot of the table center piece. It’s not a complicated model. Especially compared to the Porsche at the end.

Impressive work and an excellent choice of music!
