mocap to trax editor using HumanIK?

Hi guys,

Im coming back to character animation needs in some of my work, and I’m trying to get mocap and the trax editor process sorted out, but I’m stuck. It seems that I can bake a mocap animation to a skeleton (and then turn off humanIK, character still animates).

But for the life of me I cant get this into the trax editor as a clip.

I have my character, I selected the skeleton and made a character set. I make sure the character set is active, and then I app[lied the mocap through the humanik system. Then I bake the mocap to the skeleton. From here I loaded the trax editor and tried creating a clip, and it creates hello a blank clip. I’m doing something wring and I can find a summary process on how to make clips from mocap to use in the trax editor.

Can someone help me out?

Trax editor is ancient, in any modern Maya version you probably want the time editor for working with mocap…
