mobile apps and autodesk software

Howdy guys and gals

im in the early stages of research and development for an application that would be available on most phones that would need to synchronise with Autodesk software
my questions are these :

will i need to develop extra code/software that will synchronise my phone with autodesk software or can i use the development tools available on install??

also does anyone know the legalities of such an app? would i be able to patent/copyright my app even though it would need to make use of other software??

i’d appreciate any advice on this matter and obviously there are only limited details i am willing to divulge on public forums

G’Day Lee,

Can you define ‘synchronise’ a bit more please? Are you talking about content needing to be passed between the two or does the mobile app actually need to control and respond to events in the autodesk application?
