Hi guys it been really long time i didn’t post here !
Just back from a trip in Tanzania and ive been soo inspired by nature and people
I’ve decided to get rid of laziness and start a Massai character , i will try to get in touch with realism with some help of you guys

Wow, great job! Really like the suttle asymmetries and the shading. The ear doesn’t look right, yet. The inner cartilage (anthelix) looks too undefined for me. Keep it up…

#3

wow very well done!
the only thing i can say is that it seems to look a bit like plastic around the eyes, but other than that keep it up man!

#4

thank you guys! ill consider that

well This is so far for being finished textured … i’ve been busy this week so i did a very slight progress , in witch i was only concerned by the displacement details some minor color fixing in the textures ,skin pores ect , still figuring out a good balance for that.
Anyways here is the piece.

Sorry for the double post :stuck_out_tongue:

I think the first one looks better, especially the lighting. Also, there’s too much displacement for me right now.

“The-FubaR” i agree with you on the displacement exaggeration , but the lighting isn’t really a lighting , it was just for details inspection purpose
Here is what the final lighting will look like ( More dramatic ) .
i also added another spec layer driven by the displacement map to break the regularity and add a oily skin type .
i also added a layered material for the face painting …
Anyways , am still on the lookdev phase so ill probably go back and forth on the model .

a more clean natural looking skin , still retouching the geometry and the textures
eyelashes and eyebrows are juste for testing purpose !
