Hello all!

I’ve made all the snapshots for meeting tonight.
I feel some kind of confidence but it is obviously the never-ending way to improve its quality.

Hi there!

There was a controversy with a Japanese user about M2.
Of cource, M2 is on going, growing up project, which is never-ending. I know it has some defects still, and I’m struggling to fix them now. Your C&C are always welcome. But I have the responcibility to her since I’m a only-one comitter for this opensource project. You will find a defect on her, however I have to examine it with my master who is very specialized person in Fine Art field, and must make the solution for the defect.

I’m always fighting with full of my skill.
I know she is not perfect and my talent is limited, but I’m doing my best.
I will release “RC1” as soon as I can.
C&C are welcome!

its very nice model, rigg and skin.are you going to animate this(if it was mentioned-my bad).
Just keep working like that and you will end up with good character.

Hi there!!

I’m doing the final fight with M2 for official release.
I’ve retried the weights painting process and refined them drastically.
It’s amazing that it is able to reach more natural & organic results in deformation (almost) only by sticky weights setting.

I have to clear the examination by my master.
Before it, I show you some snapshots from latest updates.

Hi all!

It’s going into the final moment (as muscle rig).
Of course, I will have to work to provide some branches – especially for joint-only muscle rig, however it is after the finish as Fullset for M2.

Yesterday I had a meeting with my master. He’d pointed out a lot of things, but I feel I can solve those defects by my experience. For example, he gave me a instruction to express not only the squash of muscle but also the tension of it.

I want to complete my own composition.
There are a lot of space to be improved e.g. like skin textures and so forth. I want to draw the animating wrinkles by displacement maps with my technique “ALDM”. It will take another moment, I wish I can go into the goal.

After the goal, I hope I can make those portraits with full of Picturesque ideas like Mannerism/Baroque, since “my life” had started with a movie “Prospero’s Books” and I was a big fan of reading books for cultural histories, history of ideas, new art history and so forth.

Hi all!
Loog time no see.

Previously I have to work with fluid expression using RealFlow4 as prototype, and the test is done. So I’ve come back to my own conposion – “M2”. In the last Friday night, my master gave me 5 more points, which is 70 points to 100. I must reach to 80 points over – this is the qualify line from my master. I have to clear this goal as an apprentice of him.

C&C are welcome!

Nice surprise to see this thread poping up again!

Koji, what does your master say about the other 10%? Whats still missing?

To me, this is high grade stuff, and I don’t feel qualified to give any input. Is it technical or artistic problems you’re having?

I’d give you 95%!

Regards
Giom

hi there
Agree absolutely with Giom, 95 points - not a single point less.
Is it the pose you want suggestions about?

Thank you guys!

> Giom
> Whats still missing?

Dessin issues in movements.
For example, squashed shape for a muscle should be more BOXY as my master said. It is to express the tension for the muscle. There are still some defects like this.

> technical or artistic problem

Mostly artistic one.

> zokana
> Is it the pose you want suggestions about?

No, it is the final results in skin deformation for a lot of poses.
I wish I can make a kind of universal, general-purpose muscle rig.

To tell the truth, I tried 2 other case to apply M2 to each figures of other designers, for this period. I’m struggled, struggled and struggled, then I found the answer (maybe). I’d missunderstood the way to apply M2 for another, but now I can think the workflow more simple and it seems to be good results. If I have a chance, I can show you the potencial of M2 as general-purpose muscle rig to “YOUR OWN FIGURE”.

C&C are welcome!
