Michel Comet's PSD or Blend Shapes???

#1

this might hav been answered several times here… but (to be straight forward ) which way shud i head to, for getting my model deformations luk good…?? i hv tried both Michel Comet’s PSD, (which i love a lot because of its intuitive workflow and straight ahead approach) as well as blendshapes (using CG Toolkit’s Shape Builder Script)…

my main question is that can we use PSD plugin in production pipeline for the complete character? will it increase the render time especially when there are 4-5 characters in a scene?

or shud i use a combination of both… ? or may be turning it on n off ?:banghead:
plz help…
thanx in advance,

Use all plugins with caution in a production environment. I’ve had version problems before with PSD switching from 64 bit to 32 bit. If you’re working in a studio where everyone is using the same software and computers with the same specs then this and similar problems can be fixed quickly, but if you’re working across many locations then it’s a better idea to leave out plugins.

thanx jgslooknout247 for d rply, will definitely remember that… if thats taken care of, will it be gud to use PSD? i mean will it slow down the render time to a great extent? wat else can i do for gud deformations, apart from blendshapes…?
thanx.
